High Five Tour 2012: Your Opportunity to Support Military Families! Wounded Warrior Family Support is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to provide support to the families to those soldiers who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The families of our casualties suffer in many ways; some financially, some psychologically. We would like to help the families of veterans by offering them an opportunity to put aside stress and come together for a week-long reprieve; an all-expense paid retreat to one of four Orlando, Florida resort condominiums where they can rejuvenate and strengthen their bonds. Since 2003, more than 200 families have benefited from these programs, bringing much deserved smiles and lasting memories. The Third Annual High Five Tour is raising funds for and expanding the Wounded Warriors Family Support programs to assist military families, and to thank Americans nationwide for their continued support to our troops and their families. The Tour will be featuring a 2012 Shelby Ford Mustang SVT wrapped in a patriotic red, white, and blue flag design which will be driven by Wounded Warriors Family Support founder, Colonel John Solsom, USMCR (Ret.) and a photographer, blogger who will chronicle the 16,000 mile road trip. As the iconic Ford Mustang approaches its 50th year, it continues to be a symbol of freedom of the road, the American spirit and innovation. The 2012 Shelby Mustang will be on display for all that attend to sign on August 1st from 5pm-9pm. Cookout from 5-7pm. Apple Auto Group will match all eligible donations made up to $25,000. Eligibility rules will be available on-site. |
